I acquired a piece of Siberian Root Beer jade with, shall we say, some character, and made an attempt to maximize the stone while being aware that where the head of the dragon was to end up, to stone was questionable. Sure enough, it did not hold together by the time the refining was taking place. But I loved the design and the color of the jade so the only way to save the piece was to make the head out of gold.
Since I had to send the wax out for casting, I thought I have a second head cast at the same time in silver and create an other dragon out of black California jade, not realizing until I photographed them together, that they are in fact Twin Souls, connected by the deepest love that can exist between two beings.
